A dog: Everything on a schedule. From feeding to potty, training is as simple as setting a schedule, keeping it, and then letting the dog’s nature kick in. Easy.
A child: Everything on a schedule. From feeding to potty, training is a simple as setting a schedule, keeping it, and then letting the kid’s nature kick in. Easy.
I know what a lot of you are saying right now. To equate a human being with a puppy? You know what the only difference is between a human child and a puppy? A puppy doesn’t have a shitty parent fucking up his life with over complications and excuses. The best parents I know keep things really simple and the children tend to be well balanced, highly intelligent, and well-behaved. Some of the worst parents I have ever seen tend to be neurotic and they pass on most of their bad traits. And some of you wonder why I advocate drive by norplant shootings.
This post brought to you by my neighbors who have a child that cries nightly from about 6 pm until around 10 pm, then sleeps until 2 am when he wakes up and starts crying again til 6 am. While even I will agree that this is a schedule in the broadest sense of the term, it is most definitely not the kind of schedule that I was talking about.
I’ve had both kids and puppies… and I’d say you’re pretty much right. Is your neighbor’s kid less than 3 months of age? If so, that’s another story. Newborns cry from 6-10pm… it is their nature.
Again, you are right on :-).
